CVE-2024-7349

CVSS v3.1

7.2

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions LifterLMS – WP LMS for eLearning, Online Courses, & Quizzes plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 7.7.5
Description The issue is related to blind SQL Injection via the order parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 7.7.5, consider disabling the order parameter in the affected API endpoint until a patch is available. Restrict access to the database to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, limit administrator-level access to trusted users only. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
