CVE-2024-7385

CVSS v3.1

9.1

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WordPress Simple HTML Sitemap plugin versions up to 3.1
Description The issue allows authenticated attackers with Administrator-level access and above to append additional SQL queries into existing queries, potentially extracting sensitive information from the database. This is due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied id parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query.
Recommendations For versions up to 3.1, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the id parameter in the affected API endpoint until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
