Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
No Update Nag plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.4.12
Description
The issue allows unauthenticated attackers to retrieve the full path of the web application, which can aid other attacks. This is due to the plugin allowing direct access to the
bootstrap.php file with display errors enabled. The information displayed is not useful on its own and requires another issue to be present for damage to an affected website.Recommendations
For No Update Nag plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.4.12, update to a version higher than 1.4.12 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling direct access to the
bootstrap.php file until a patch is available.Fix
