CVE-2024-7415

CVSS v3.1

5.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Remember Me Controls plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.0.1
Description The issue is related to Full Path Disclosure, which occurs because the plugin allows direct access to the bootstrap.php file with display errors enabled. This allows unauthenticated attackers to retrieve the full path of the web application, potentially aiding other attacks. However, the information displayed is not useful on its own and requires another vulnerability to be present for damage to an affected website.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.0.1, consider disabling direct access to the bootstrap.php file as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to this file to minimize the risk of exploitation.
