CVE-2024-7422

CVSS v3.1

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Theme My Login plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 7.1.7
Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the tml admin save ms settings() function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to update the theme's settings via a forged request. This can happen if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. The issue only affects multi-site instances.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 7.1.7, update to a version later than 7.1.7 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the tml admin save ms settings() function to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, be cautious when clicking on links from untrusted sources to avoid unintentionally performing actions that could lead to the exploitation of this issue.
