Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Multiple Page Generator Plugin – MPG plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.0.1
Description
The issue allows authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access and above to invoke functions intended for admin use, resulting in unauthorized modification of and access to data. This enables subscribers to upload csv files and view the contents of MPG projects. The vulnerability is due to a missing capability check on several functions.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 4.0.1, update to a version that includes a capability check on the affected functions to prevent unauthorized access and modification of data.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the functions intended for admin use until a patch is available.
Fix
Improper Access Control
