CVE-2024-7561

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Next theme for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.1.0
Description The issue allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject a PHP Object via deserialization of untrusted input from the wpeden post meta post meta value. This could potentially lead to the deletion of arbitrary files, retrieval of sensitive data, or execution of code if a POP chain is present, possibly introduced by an additional plugin or theme.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.1.0, consider disabling the deserialization of untrusted input from the wpeden post meta post meta value as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to sensitive data and files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
