Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the tag attribute of the Events Card widget due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.1.8, update to a version higher than 2.1.8 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Events Card widget or disabling the tag attribute to minimize the risk of exploitation.
