Description
The issue is related to unauthorized arbitrary email sending due to a missing capability check on the
a ajaxQuickEmailTestCallback() function. This allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access and above to send emails with arbitrary content to any individual through the vulnerable web server.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.8.19, consider disabling the
a ajaxQuickEmailTestCallback() function until a patch is available to prevent unauthorized email sending.
