CVE-2024-7850

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions BP Profile Search plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 5.7.5
Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the bps ajax field selector(), bps ajax template options(), and bps ajax field row() functions. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious web scripts via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 5.7.5, consider disabling the bps ajax field selector(), bps ajax template options(), and bps ajax field row() functions until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to these functions to minimize the risk of malicious script injection.
