Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the type parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.8.3.5, update to a version higher than 2.8.3.5 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the type parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, restrict Contributor-level access and above to prevent authenticated attackers from injecting arbitrary web scripts.
