CVE-2024-7955
CVSS v3.1
4.8
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
The Starbox WordPress plugin versions prior to 3.5.2
Description:
The issue allows high privilege users, such as admins, to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks, even when the unfiltered html capability is disallowed, for example, in a multisite setup. This is due to the plugin not sanitizing and escaping some of its settings.
Recommendations:
For versions prior to 3.5.2, update to version 3.5.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the ability of high privilege users to access and modify the plugin's settings until a patch is applied.
