| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
The Radio Player – Live Shoutcast, Icecast and Any Audio Stream Player for WordPress plugin versions up to, and including, 2.0.78
Description:
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping within the
align attribute of the wp:radio-player Gutenberg block. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages, which will execute when a user accesses an injected page.Recommendations:
For versions up to, and including, 2.0.78, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
wp:radio-player Gutenberg block to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
