| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
The Essential Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 6.0.3
Description:
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's Fancy Text widget due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations:
For versions up to, and including, 6.0.3, update the plugin as soon as possible and check the site for signs of exploit. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the Fancy Text widget until a patch is available. Restrict access to the plugin's functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation, especially for users with contributor-level access and above.
Fix
