CVE-2024-8507
CVSS v3.1
8.8
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
File Manager Pro plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 8.3.9
Description:
The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the 'mk file folder manager' ajax action. This allows unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files by tricking a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations:
For versions up to, and including, 8.3.9, update to a version that includes the fix for the nonce validation issue in the 'mk file folder manager' ajax action to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the 'mk file folder manager' ajax action until a patch is available.
