Description:
A critical vulnerability has been found in the TOTOLINK AC1200 T8, affecting the
setParentalRules function of the file /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi. The manipulation of the slaveIpList argument leads to os command injection. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.Recommendations:
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
setParentalRules function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the slaveIpList argument in the affected function until the issue is resolved.
