CVE-2024-8731

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Cron Jobs plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.2.9
Description: The Cron Jobs plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting due to the use of add query arg without appropriate escaping on the URL. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations: For versions up to, and including, 1.2.9, update to a version higher than 1.2.9 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation.
