CVE-2024-8734

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Lucas String Replace plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.0.5
Description: The issue arises from the use of add query arg without proper escaping on the URL, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. This can be achieved if an attacker successfully tricks a user into performing a specific action, such as clicking on a link. The vulnerability enables Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks.
Recommendations: For versions up to, and including, 2.0.5, update to a version higher than 2.0.5 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's functionality until a patch is available.
