| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
The Quiz and Survey Master (QSM) WordPress plugin versions prior to 9.1.3
Description:
The issue is related to the Quiz and Survey Master (QSM) WordPress plugin, which does not properly sanitise and escape some of its settings. This could allow high-privilege users, such as admins, to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks, even when the unfiltered html capability is disallowed, for example, in a multisite setup. The vulnerability poses risks of site compromise and user data theft.
Recommendations:
For versions prior to 9.1.3, upgrade the Quiz and Survey Master (QSM) WordPress plugin to version 9.1.3 or later to patch the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the plugin's settings to minimize the risk of exploitation.
