CVSS v3.1
7.4
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
File Manager Pro plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 8.3.9
Description:
The issue is due to a lack of proper checks on allowed file types, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers, with permissions granted by an administrator, to upload .css and .js files. This could lead to Stored Cross-Site Scripting.
Recommendations:
For versions up to, and including, 8.3.9, update to a version that includes proper checks on allowed file types to prevent Limited JavaScript File Upload.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting file upload permissions to prevent unauthenticated attackers from uploading malicious files.
Fix
Unrestricted File Upload
