CVE-2024-9170

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Booster for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 7.2.3
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's wcj product meta shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with ShopManager-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 7.2.3, update to a version later than 7.2.3 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the wcj product meta shortcode until a patch is available.
