Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
XT Floating Cart for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress version 2.8.2 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via SVG File uploads due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with Author-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses the SVG file.
Recommendations
For versions up to and including 2.8.2, consider disabling SVG file uploads until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the plugin's upload functionality to minimize the risk of arbitrary web script injection. As a temporary workaround, limit user access to the affected pages to reduce the potential impact of the issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
