CVE-2024-9353

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Popularis Extra plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.2.6
Description The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting due to the use of add query arg and remove query arg without appropriate escaping on the URL. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.2.6, update to a version higher than 1.2.6 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to pages that use add query arg and remove query arg functions until a patch is available.
