Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Element Pack Elementor Addons plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 5.10.2
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages via the
tooltip parameter. This makes it possible for malicious scripts to be injected and executed whenever a user accesses an injected page.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 5.10.2, update the plugin to the latest patched version as soon as possible to mitigate the risks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
tooltip parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
