Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
CMSMasters Elementor Addon plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.14.7
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via multiple widgets due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.14.7, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vulnerable widgets to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Restrict contributor-level access and above to prevent authenticated attackers from injecting arbitrary web scripts.
Fix
XSS
