Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
ElementInvader Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.2.8
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's contact form widget redirect URL due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.2.8, update to a version higher than 1.2.8 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the contact form widget redirect URL to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, restrict contributor-level access and above to authorized personnel only.
Fix
