VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to incorrect calculations in the op remap function within the nouveau/uvmm module of the Linux kernel. This was causing a remap operation that resulted in an unmap operation, corrupting the pagetables and leading to a kernel crash. The problem was triggered by a specific test case, dEQP-VK.sparse resources.image rebind.2d array.r64i.128 128 8, which caused the op remap function to perform an incorrect calculation for the address range. The fix involves correcting the calculation to use start and end addresses properly and map back to the address range correctly.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
