CVE-2024-26036

CVSS v2.0

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.20 and earlier
Description The issue is related to a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be abused by an attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. Malicious JavaScript may be executed in a victim’s browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field. The vulnerability is also associated with insufficient protection of the web page structure, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript code in the context of a victim's browser session.
Recommendations For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.20 and earlier, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent malicious scripts from being injected into vulnerable form fields. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to vulnerable form fields to minimize the risk of exploitation.
