An elevation-of-privilege vulnerability exists in the Microsoft Windows Kernel Streaming service. The vulnerability is due to improper handling of untrusted pointer dereferencing. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to gain SYSTEM-level privileges. The vulnerability involves malformed IOCTL requests and improper handling of KS Event conversions between 32-bit and 64-bit formats, potentially leading to arbitrary kernel mode access.
