CVE-2024-36211
CVSS v2.0
5.5
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.20 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. It can be exploited if a low-privileged attacker convinces a victim to visit a URL referencing a vulnerable page, potentially allowing malicious JavaScript content to be executed within the context of the victim's browser. The vulnerability is also associated with a lack of protection for the web page structure, which could enable a remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting attack.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.20 and earlier, update to a version later than 6.5.20 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to vulnerable pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using URLs that reference vulnerable pages until the issue is resolved.
