CVE-2024-36220

CVSS v2.0

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.20 and earlier
Description The issue is related to insufficient protection of the web page structure, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. This is a DOM-based Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that enables an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript code in the context of the victim's browser session. Exploitation requires user interaction, such as convincing a victim to click on a specially crafted link or to submit a form that triggers the malicious script.
Recommendations For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.20 and earlier, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting user interaction with potentially malicious links or forms to minimize the risk of exploitation.
