CVE-2023-50952
CVSS v2.0
5.5
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
IBM InfoSphere Information Server version 11.7
Description:
The issue is related to insufficient validation of incoming requests, which may allow a remote attacker to perform a server-side request forgery (SSRF) attack. This could enable an authenticated attacker to send unauthorized requests from the system, potentially leading to network enumeration or facilitating other attacks.
Recommendations:
For IBM InfoSphere Information Server version 11.7, consider restricting access to vulnerable components or functions that may be exploited for SSRF attacks until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, disabling or limiting the use of features that allow remote requests may help minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
