Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
IBM InfoSphere Information Server version 11.7
Description:
The issue is related to stored cross-site scripting, allowing users to embed arbitrary JavaScript code in the Web UI, potentially altering the intended functionality and leading to credentials disclosure within a trusted session. This occurs due to a lack of protection for the web page structure. The vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker to disclose credentials in a trusted session.
Recommendations:
For IBM InfoSphere Information Server version 11.7, consider disabling the Web UI functionality until a patch is available to prevent exploitation of the stored cross-site scripting vulnerability. Restrict access to the Web UI to minimize the risk of credentials disclosure. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
