Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Dell PowerScale OneFS versions 8.2.2.x through 9.8.0.0
Description:
The issue is related to improper privilege management in the PowerScale OneFS operating system, which could allow a local high-privileged attacker to gain unauthorized root-level access. This is due to insufficient access control, potentially enabling an attacker to elevate their privileges.
Recommendations:
For Dell PowerScale OneFS versions 8.2.2.x through 9.8.0.0, consider restricting access to sensitive areas of the system to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
