CVSS v2.0

9.0

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Tenda F1202 version 1.2.0.20(408)
Description: A critical vulnerability was found in the function fromqossetting of the file /goform/fromqossetting. The manipulation of the argument qos leads to a stack-based buffer overflow. The attack can be launched remotely. An exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be used. This issue affects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information by allowing a remote attacker to send a specially crafted POST request with the qos parameter.
Recommendations: For Tenda F1202 version 1.2.0.20(408), as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the fromqossetting function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the /goform/fromqossetting endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the qos parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
