Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Tenda F1202 version 1.2.0.20(408)
Description:
A critical issue has been found in the function
fromwebExcptypemanFilter of the file /goform/webExcptypemanFilter. The manipulation of the argument page leads to a stack-based buffer overflow. The attack may be launched remotely. An exploit has been publicly disclosed and can be used to launch the attack. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.Recommendations:
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
fromwebExcptypemanFilter function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the /goform/webExcptypemanFilter file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the page argument in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
