CVE-2024-36151

CVSS v2.0

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.20 and earlier
Description: The issue is related to a DOM-based Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript code in the context of the victim's browser session. Exploitation requires user interaction, as the victim needs to visit a web page with a maliciously crafted script. The vulnerability is also described as being related to the lack of protection of the web page structure, which could allow a remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting attack.
Recommendations: For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.20 and earlier, consider disabling any functionality that allows the execution of JavaScript code from untrusted sources until a patch is available. Restrict access to sensitive areas of the web application to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the application to access web pages with potentially malicious content. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
