CVE-2024-36157

CVSS v2.0

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.20 and earlier
Description: The issue is related to a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could allow an attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. When a victim browses to the page containing the vulnerable field, malicious JavaScript may be executed in their browser. The vulnerability is also described as being related to the lack of protection of the web page structure, which could allow a remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting attack.
Recommendations: For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.20 and earlier, consider disabling vulnerable form fields until a patch is available to prevent malicious script injection. Restrict access to sensitive pages that may contain vulnerable fields to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using vulnerable form fields in API endpoints, such as /api/v1/forms, until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
