| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
WP To Do plugin versions up to, and including, 1.3.0
Description:
The issue is related to a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the
wptodo addcomment function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to add comments to to do items via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.Recommendations:
For versions up to, and including, 1.3.0, update to a version that includes the fix for the nonce validation issue in the
wptodo addcomment function.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the wptodo addcomment function until a patch is available.Fix
