CVSS v2.0
4.3
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Oracle Java SE versions 8u411, 8u411-perf, 11.0.23, 17.0.11, 21.0.3, 22.0.1
Oracle GraalVM for JDK versions 17.0.11, 21.0.3, 22.0.1
Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition versions 20.3.14, 21.3.10
Description:
The vulnerability in the Oracle Java SE, Oracle GraalVM for JDK, and Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition products allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise the system. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some accessible data. This issue can be exploited by using APIs in the specified component, e.g., through a web service that supplies data to the APIs. It also applies to Java deployments, typically in clients running sandboxed Java Web Start applications or sandboxed Java applets, that load and run untrusted code and rely on the Java sandbox for security.
Recommendations:
For Oracle Java SE versions 8u411, 8u411-perf, 11.0.23, 17.0.11, 21.0.3, 22.0.1: Update to a fixed version to resolve the issue.
For Oracle GraalVM for JDK versions 17.0.11, 21.0.3, 22.0.1: Update to a fixed version to resolve the issue.
For Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition versions 20.3.14, 21.3.10: Update to a fixed version to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vulnerable component until a patch is available. Avoid using APIs in the specified component until the issue is resolved.
