Description:
A critical issue affects the
formQosManageDouble auto function, where manipulation of the ssidIndex argument leads to a stack-based buffer overflow. This can be exploited remotely, potentially allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code by sending specially crafted POST requests.Recommendations:
For Tenda W9 version 1.0.0.7(4456), as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
formQosManageDouble auto function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the vulnerable function to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the ssidIndex argument in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.
