| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
HUSKY – Products Filter Professional for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.3.6
Description:
The issue is related to a time-based SQL Injection vulnerability via the
woof author parameter. This vulnerability is caused by insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. It allows unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries, which can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. The estimated number of potentially affected devices worldwide is over 100,000 WooCommerce stores.Recommendations:
For versions up to, and including, 1.3.6, update to a version that fixes this issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
woof author parameter until a patch is available.
Avoid using the woof author parameter in sensitive queries until the issue is resolved.Fix
