Description The issue is related to a slab-use-after-free vulnerability in the cachefiles ondemand daemon read() function. This vulnerability can be triggered by a fuzz test of randomly issuing the restore command. The process that triggers the issue involves multiple threads and the use of kzalloc and kmem cache free functions. The vulnerability can be avoided by grabbing the reference count of the object before xa unlock to ensure it has not been freed yet.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
