CVSS v2.0

10

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 126.0.6478.182 Microsoft Edge (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a synchronization error when using a shared resource in the DevTools of Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers. This could allow a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected information, execute arbitrary code, or cause a denial of service by loading a specially crafted malicious extension or HTML page. An attacker who convinces a user to install a malicious extension can inject scripts or HTML into a privileged page via a crafted Chrome Extension.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 126.0.6478.182, update to version 126.0.6478.182 or later to resolve the issue. For Microsoft Edge, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
