Description The issue is related to a library injection vulnerability in Microsoft Excel for macOS. This vulnerability can be exploited by a specially crafted library, allowing an attacker to leverage Excel's access privileges and bypass permissions. A malicious application could inject a library and start the program to trigger this vulnerability, then make use of the vulnerable application's permissions.
Recommendations For Microsoft Excel version 16.83, consider restricting access to the application until a patch is available, as a temporary workaround to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
