Description
The issue is related to a Heap-based Buffer Overflow that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. This allows an attacker to potentially execute code remotely.
Recommendations
For After Effects versions 23.6.6 and earlier, update to a version later than 24.5 to mitigate the risk.
For After Effects version 24.5, update to a version later than 24.5 to mitigate the risk.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of potentially malicious files until a patch is available.
