| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Photoshop versions 24.7.4, 25.11 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the memory, which can be exploited by opening a specially crafted malicious file. This could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file.
Recommendations
For versions 24.7.4, 25.11 and earlier, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent arbitrary code execution.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of JP2 file parsing until a patch is available.
Restrict access to malicious files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
