PDF-XChange Editor (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read in the memory buffer when parsing U3D files in PDF-XChange Editor. This can allow an attacker to disclose sensitive information by using a specially crafted U3D file. The flaw exists due to the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in reading past the end of an allocated buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability, potentially in conjunction with other vulnerabilities, to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process. User interaction is required, such as visiting a malicious page or opening a malicious file.
