Description:
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the
show rcu tasks trace gp kthread() function. This can occur when huge counter numbers are passed to sprintf(). Although the required counter numbers are unrealistically high, the buffer overflow is still possible. The vulnerability can impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information.Recommendations:
