Description:
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read in the annotation handler of Foxit PDF Reader, which can allow an attacker to disclose sensitive information by opening a specially crafted file. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability, as the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the handling of Annotation objects due to the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, resulting in a read past the end of an allocated buffer. This can be leveraged in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process.
